Full Mouth Rehabilitation and Dentures

1) What is full mouth rehabilitation?

It is a dental treatment, which includes restoration and/or replacement of all or most of the damaged and missing teeth by using artificial restorations. It is a complex inter-disciplinary treatment, which requires advanced planning, designing, and execution.

3) Advantage?

  • Eating
  • Longevity
  • Function
  • Esthetics

4) Implant-supported fixed teeth

The only way to make new teeth a true part of you is to support them using dental implants. A dental implant is placed into your jawbone to act as an artificial tooth root, and your jawbone accepts and embraces it, growing around the implant to fuse with it completely in a process called ‘osseointegration’.

The advantage of this system is that you only need 6-8 implants in the upper jaw and 6 implants in the lower jaw to replace all the teeth.

When can I get my final teeth?

Once the dental implants have been placed, they need 3-4 months to heal and integrate with your jaw. You’ll be given temporary plastic teeth during this period. Once the implants have healed we will take measurements for the final ceramic teeth.

Any adjustments or fine-tuning can be easily performed until you are perfectly comfortable with your new implant-supported dentures.

6) Dentures

Dentures are false teeth. You need teeth to chew your food, so people who are missing some or all of their natural teeth as a result of decay or gum disease must replace them with dentures.

A denture is a custom-made appliance that is worn over the gums to replace missing natural teeth. Dentures sometimes are a healthy solution to completely missing or partially missing teeth. A properly fitting set of dentures can greatly enhance your smile and sense of self-esteem. We, use the latest technology that offers basic dentures, flexible dentures, cast partial dentures and implant-supported dentures.

Our dentist may offer one of the following options:

  • A Complete denture (a full set) replaces your upper or lower natural teeth
  • Partial dentures that replace one or a few teeth and that are held in place by metal clips

7) Advantages:

  • Dentures help to improve chewing ability
  • They improve speech
  • They also provide support for facial muscles by filling out your face and improving confidence as a result.

8) The Trouble With Traditional Dentures

Once your natural teeth are gone, the gum and bone where they used to sit start to recede as they have nothing to ‘live’ for. This shrinking and recession continue throughout your life. Dentures made to fit your gums at one point start to get loose as the gum and underlying bone shrink.

9) Cost of dentures

The cost of dentures depends on

  • Number of teeth to be replaced
  • Partial or complete denture

The cost of the upper and the lower Complete denture starts from Rs 35000 onwards

The cost of only upper or lower denture starts from Rs 25000 onwards

10) Cleaning Your Dentures

As with natural teeth, keeping your mouth clean and brushing morning and evening is just as important to prevent gum disease. Denture-cleaning tablets can also be used to remove stains or bacteria. You need to care for them as if they were your natural teeth.
